"Hated and Feared" Re-Watch: "Longshot" & "Cold Comfort"

 X-Men

Honestly, at this point, I'm just counting down to "The Dark Phoenix Saga." That isn't to say there isn't good stuff in these episodes, I'm just more excited for what's coming. Let's dive in.

Re-Visiting the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Eternals

 "Eternals" (2021)

When Marvel initially announced that they were going to make a movie about the Eternals, there was a collective, "Huh?" Even comics folks weren't sure who these immortals were. They were created by legendary comic creator Jack Kirby. I've always felt like the Eternals were Kirby making New Gods for Marvel. They are powerful and live forever. And Marvel nabbed Chloé Zhao to write and direct who ended up winning an Oscar between the time that "Eternals" was shot and was released. That's nothing to sneeze at.

Principal photography began in July 2019 and ended in February 2020. The film stars Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Barry Keoghan as Druig, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Harish Patel as Karun, Kit Harrington as Dane Whitman, Salma Hayek as Ajak and Angelina Jolie as Thena. The film was written by Chloé Zhao, Patrick Burleigh, Ryan Firpo and Kaz Firpo. It was directed by Chloé Zhao. "Eternals" premiered on November 5, 2021.

Things are ramping up for Peacemaker and the crew. We only have four episodes left of this season and these episodes don't let up on the gas. Let's get to it.

A Long Time Ago, During the Clone Wars: "Darkness on Umbara," "The General," "Plan of Dissent" & "Carnage of Krell"

 Star Wars The Clone Wars

For the first time on the blog, I'll be covering four episodes in one post. That feels like a lot, so let's no waste any time. Let's get right into things.

"In the Name of the Moon" Re-Watch: "A Guardian's Friendship: Goodbye, Ami" & "Women Must Be Strong and Beautiful: Rei's Special New Technique"

 Sailor Moon R

It's been over 15 episodes but the other Sailor Guardians are finally getting some new transformation sequences! I mean, they aren't completely new, but new phrases and they get cleaned up a little. We take what we can get here. Let's get into it.

"Last Son" Re-Watch: "Solar Power" & "Brave New Metropolis"

 Superman The Animated Series

The past few episodes of "Superman: The Animated Series" have been kind of lackluster to the point where I wasn't necessarily super excited to watch. Will things turn around with these two episodes? Let's find out.

"Big Shots" Re-Watch: "Sympathy for the Devil" & "Heavy Metal Queen"

 Cowboy Bebop

The two episodes we are dealing with today. They are very similar but different at the same time. Why don't we waste no time and jump right in.

"The Truth Is Out There" Re-Watch: "D.P.O." & "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose"

 The X-Files

Season three is just on another level. The episodes are great and as you'll find out, they get some pretty big name guest stars before they were household names. Let's get started.

"SuperDad" Superman & Lois Recap: "Broken Trust" & "Man of Steel"

 Superman & Lois

Have you noticed that "Superman & Lois" loves a slow-mo action shot? They can't get enough of it. They don't look bad, but there are so many. It's almost like the lens flares in a J.J. Abrams movie. Well, maybe not that bad. Let's get into it.

"Hated and Feared" Re-Watch: "No Mutant Is an Island" & "Obsession"

 X-Men

We are all coming down from the high of "The Phoenix Saga." I wish that we would go right into "The Dark Phoenix Saga" but alas, we have a few episodes before that. Interesting little tidbit about "No Mutant Is an Island." It was originally meant to air in season 3, but wasn't finished in time, along with two other episodes. It originally didn't air until season 5, but Disney+ has the production order not the aired order, which is great.

Re-Visiting the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

"Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" (2021)

"Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" was an important film for Marvel. It was debuting a new character. It was the first Asian solo superhero in the MCU. It was the first film since the pandemic that Marvel had released solely in theaters since "Black Widow" was released both in theaters and on Disney+.

Principal photography on "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" in February 2020 and was put on hold in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it resumed in August and completed in October 2020. The film stars Simu Liu as Xu Shang-Chi/Shaun, Awkwafina as Katy, Meng'er Zhang as Xu Xialing, Fala Chen as Ying Li, Florian Munteanu as Razor Fist, Benedict Wong as Wong, Michelle Yeoh as Ying Nan, Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery and Tony Leung as Xu Wenwu. The film was written by Dave Callahm, Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Lanham. It was directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" premiered on September 3, 2021.

"Killing For Peace" Peacemaker Recaps: "Better Goff Dead" & "The Choad Less Traveled"

 Peacemaker

I can't believe that I didn't mention this in my last "Peacemaker" post. One of the coolest things about the show is the opening credits. The cast does a choreographed dance to "Do You Wanna Taste It?" It's perfect and it makes the credits un-skippable. So click the video before and give them a watch before you dive into to the post itself.

A Long Time Ago, During the Clone Wars: "Shadow Warrior," "Mercy Mission" & "Nomad Droids"

 Star Wars The Clone Wars

I'm not going to lie to you all. These are not the strongest episodes of "The Clone Wars." They feel like the most kid centric ones, so if you're not into that, you're probably not going to get a ton of mileage out of them. But let's get into it.

"In the Name of the Moon" Re-Watch: "Angel or Devil? The Mysterious Girl from the Sky" & "Usagi Devastated: Mamoru Declares a Break-Up"

 Sailor Moon R

The time has come divas. We have left the land of filler arcs behind and we are beginning the next arc adapted from the manga: The Black Moon arc. I love this arc. The Spectre Sisters are iconic and it introduces us to some classic elements of "Sailor Moon." Let's get right into it.
