Mischief Makers "Loki" Recaps: "Journey Into Mystery" & "For All Time. Always"

 Loki

"Loki" is not my favorite of the Disney+ Marvel television series, but I can't argue that it definitely sticks the landing, and sort of bucks the trend of an action heavy, kind of mindless finale. And, as we get closer and closer to "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness," these episodes are great to watch, because this is where the multiverse actually takes hold.

"Fuck Batman" Titans Recap: "Prodigal" & "Purple Rain"

 Titans

We've reached the end of season 3 of "Titans" and it continues to be somewhat of an enigma. Season three is basically a Batman story with the main "Titans" cast shuffled to the side. It's an interesting choice for a property that has a proper Rogues gallery and a ton of classic stories to pull from. When Marv Wolfman and George Perez premiered the New Teen Titans in 1980, it was a response to the massive popularity of Marvel's "Uncanny X-Men" being written and drawn at the time by Chris Claremont and John Byrne. It brought us classic stories like "The Judas Contract" and "Terra Incognito." And the show decides to do a Red Hood story with Scarecrow. Sure. "Titans" has been picked up for a fourth season that just began filming. It is going to feature classic Titans villain Brother Blood. They have been slowly introducing the Fearsome Five and the finale referenced classic Titan Roy Harper. I'm hopeful that season four will actually bring the focus back to the Titans themselves, but for now, let's dive into another middling penultimate episode and lackluster finale.

"The Truth Is Out There" Re-Watch: "Colony" & "End Game"

The X-Files

It feels like it's been forever since we have had legit mythology episodes, like classic two-parter mythology episodes.  So, it was nice to get back to them, especially because this is when they were actually good.

"foX-Men" Re-Watch: Logan

 "Logan" (2017)

They say all good things must come to an end. So, it was only a matter of time for Hugh Jackman to end his time playing Logan. Few characters are as synonymous with an actor as Jackman is for Wolverine. Whoever gets cast as the hirsute Canadian X-Man has big shoes to fill. The was also supposed to the be swan song for Patrick Stewart playing Charles Xavier, but if you've watched the trailer for "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" you know that isn't necessarily the case. Who knows? Maybe we haven't seen the last of Jackman playing Wolverine.

Principal photography on "Logan" began in May 2016 and finished in August 2016. The film stars Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine, Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, Dafne Keen as Laura, Boyd Holbrook as Pierce, Stephen Merchant as Caliban and Richard E. Grant as Dr. Rice. The film was written by Scott Frank, James Mangold & Michael Green. It was directed by James Mangold. "Logan" premiered on March 3, 2017.
